O-H-I-O
So I am totally sitting in a McDonalds Parking lot in Canal Blogging. Not sure if you knew this or not, but if you have ATT Uverse or DSL, you get free WiFi at every McDonalds or Starbucks in the country,…..all you need is your att.net email addy and your password……
Enough of the Advertisements…..not like my current employer is going to give me any more money….
So I was at a concert last night with my good buddy Nate. I will say that it was a Southern Rock show and the two bands were from the south, AND the two bands that were there were actually quite good. The lead player for the headliner was quite entertaining and the show was probably one of the better ones I have seen in a long long time.
Funny thing though….at one point, the lead singer says something about Oklahoma and Texas, to which the crowd responded quite enthusiastically…… then he asked how many were actually from those places and there was a very small spattering of people. Yet, when he mentioned Texas, everyone freeked.
I lived in Missouri for several years. The whole time I was there, every native person from Missouri wanted to be from Oklahoma and every Oklahoma person I ran into wanted to be from Texas, or just acted like they were…..
Very similar to what people from OHIO do……lol.
It’s like 200 years ago someone jokingly told Ohio-ans they were the “Mid-West” and they not only believed them, but decided they too are Texans. HA HA.
So to all my fellow “OHIO-ANS”…..I want you to know that you can drive to the State of NEW YORK quicker than you can drive to TENNESSEE!!!! (let alone Oklahoma or Texas)
Still chuckling…..

Please!! I think your polling subject group must have been very small,or isolated at best. I certainly have no qualms about where I am from (born and raised OHIO) and have no desire to be affiliated with any other state,(although the entire rest of my immediate family are Tarheels). My wife bought me a hat while she was visiting her sister in Texas. It said “Don’t Mess With Texas” on the front of it. I must say that is one hat that has never been on my head. I am not sure why she thought that would be something I would appreciate.
Love Ya Man,
